Wilderness First Aid Courses in the Canadian Rockies

The book used in this course was co-written by Inside Out Experience owner Andrew Pratt.  He gives insights into the program not otherwise available.  The Wilderness First Aid program is designed to teach you how to handle an emergency situation in the event that rescue workers cannot reach the scene immediately. It is oriented towards outdoor professional learners, recreationists and outdoor workers alike, although anyone will find it beneficial and informative. The program combines lectures with hands-on practical experience and covers prolonged patient assessment, recognition and care of injuries, environmental and medical emergencies. Teamwork, leadership and follower roles are organized and combined to illustrate the importance of these positions.
