"Kids all over again"

John & Maureen Kirby celebrate their 1st annaversy.

About a month ago John and Maureen Kirby joined Inside Out Experience to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary. They rafted with us for the whole day with the Kananaskis in the morning and the Horseshoe Canyon in the afternoon. While its a perk of the job to introduce new paddlers to the experience of rafting, John and Maureen's infectious enthusiasm and sense of adventure left a lasting impression on the staff of IOE and we wish them all the best on their future adventures.

"We had the best day. Our aniversary our 1 st. I'm 66. And wow, that's all could say for 2 days now all i dream of is the river and the adventure, will we come back ??? try to stop us i loved the 30ft cliff jump. loosing my runner in the river and then retrieving it 3 miles away, swimming in the rapids, yep we were kids all over again, thank you all from start to finish, and we made youtube Ha ha ha, popular at last,we will be back with all of the family, John and Maureen kirby"

Horseshoe now on Youtube

For those who have never been on Horseshoe or have even not been rafting before, IOE's youtube channel now features the next best thing to being there.

It's a hard thing to describe a experience like rafting the Horseshoe canyon. Rafting itself is a sensory overload, breathtaking new sights, overwhelming new sounds, heart stopping new experiences. But for the office staff at Inside Out Experience, describing rafting trips sometimes to people that have not been rafting before is a daily challenge.

To give potential first time rafters and first time Horseshoers a better idea about what they are about to embark on, IOE now has produced a clip showing some of the activities and scenes that paddlers are likely to experience.

Change of Pace for Raft Guides

Take a bunch of guides who are used to white water and put them on a float trip and you might expect them to complain. Nothing of the sort was heard from guides learning the "ropes" for the new float trips being offered by IOE, they were having too much fun. Who can blame them? The scenery was stunning the wildlife sightings, plentiful and the pace relaxing.

IOE's new float trips allow guests to float down through the stunning scenery of Canmore without needing to put on a wetsuit. Check out the photos to see what your in for.

Old Man Rafting Adventures

Who is the Old Man?

And Why are people rafting on him?

At the start of the season a couple of vetran open boaters from down south of Alberta traveled North to enroll in Inside Out Experience's Guides School. The reason? Both Rob and Ken were keen to tell us. They had both grown up next to two rivers that they wanted to share.

Rob and Ken now run the Old Man Rafting Company, The only commercial rafting company on these rivers.

A bunch of IOE guides snuck away to see what the fuss was about. Rob and Ken had not exaggerated. The Old Man and Castle rivers were everything promised and more. Check the photos here.
